Description
Upholstered in V&A Threads of India’s Lahore Dynasty velvet in Rouge, the Parson Lahore Dynasty Footstool is a refined square footstool with a rich, heritage-inspired feel.
The intricate velvet design features animals and a coat of arms motif inspired by the Fremlin Carpet, a mid-17th-century Mughal carpet held in the V&A collection. The result is a fabric that feels historic, detailed and quietly striking, with enough richness to hold its own in both traditional and more contemporary interiors.
Finished with matching piping and a multi-toned House of Hackney bullion fringe, the footstool has a layered, collected quality - decorative without feeling overdone. Designed for everyday use, it works beautifully as a footstool, occasional seat or accent piece, whether placed in a living room, bedroom, library or used as additional seating.
Handcrafted in our Birmingham workshop, the footstool is made with a birch plywood frame, hand-stitched bullion fringe, a felt-lined base and discreet slider feet for ease of movement. Generously proportioned and reassuringly weighty, it feels solid, stable and made to be used.
Made to order, with one piece currently available for immediate dispatch.
Why we love it
We love the Parson Lahore Dynasty Footstool for its quiet richness. The Rouge velvet feels classic and considered, while the jewel-toned fringe adds depth and a subtle sense of play. It is a piece for someone who collects rather than simply decorates - refined, detailed and full of story.
